The following is taken from the transcript of a call between the Stearns County Sheriff Department (SCSD) and Saint John’s Life Safety (SJLS) on June 29, 2013 at 12:19pm.
During the call, a member of Saint John’s Life Safety admits to the sheriff’s department that a call was placed to Life Safety by someone on campus the day before the reunion.
“… we got a call from several of the people at the event that um, was telling us that ah, he had been trespassed the day before, we had a call yesterday to our … Sergeant [Shawn Vierzba] , saying that he was ah, not to be allowed on campus.”
Life Safety was notified the day before. Someone from the Prep School knew that Marker might be coming.
However:
Despite lies told by St. John’s personnel [ View ] , no attempt to notify Marker was made between April 4 (postmark of invitation) and the day before the reunion.
No attempt to notify Marker was made the morning of the reunion.
No attempt to notify Marker was made until 90 minutes into the reunion.
It was only after Marker planned, arrived, paid, sat through an hour-long “Benedictine Values” class, and then sat down for lunch with 50+ other graduates that Marker was confronted.
Saint John’s personnel waited for a time when Marker could be most embarrassed.
It worked.
When Father Jonathan Licari, the incoming headmaster at St. John’s Prep School was asked to address the graduates, he refused (See Video #1, 5:50 mark). Father Timothy “Timo” Backous, the school’s outgoing headmaster, reportedly also refused to address the former students.
By the time Saint John’s personnel asked Marker to leave, however, Marker’s contractual claim of right to be on campus had already been established.

SJLS: Okay
SCSD: He’s gonna say that the dispatcher told him not to leave, it’s just because we have officers going and everyone’s got to talk now, so I just said just stay there, be calm,
SJLS: Yeah, yep
SCSD: And just relax and blah, blah, blah
SJLS: Sure
SCSD: Okay?
SJLS: Okay
SCSD: Okay thanks. Bye.
