McNeely Center Announcement Regarding Michael Weber

Share

In a letter sent to Saint John’s University, dated Thursday, November 10, 2011, we learned of allegations of sexual misconduct by Michael Weber. None of the alleged incidents occurred at Saint John’s University or the College of Saint Benedict. Mr. Weber has served as a volunteer mentor in the Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship at College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University since 2005.

After receiving the letter late last week, the University and the College immediately contacted Mr. Weber and mutually agreed to terminate his relationship with the McNeely Center. Our students’ safety is our first priority. Over the weekend, we took the additional step of notifying all of the students in the Entrepreneurship Program and providing them with a direct point of contact to the Provost [Rita Knuesel] should they have any concerns or questions.

Neither the University nor the College has received any calls or complaints from students or alumni/ae alleging misconduct by Mr. Weber. We take sexual misconduct very seriously.
