According to Father David Ostrowski, former Saint John’s Abbey monk and current priest with the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis:
“We have to rid our church of these mentally ill men and we also have to hold those who covered it up very much accountable.”
It is a strong statement from Father Ostrowski, when you consider that:
1) The “weekend associate” priest at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church is Father Timothy Backous; and
2) Father David Ostrowski owns a home with Father Fran Hoefgen, a credibly and oft-accused [ View ] priest.

Father David Ostrowski was speaking of abuse by Father Jerome Kern, a priest who served at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church between 1976 and 1994.
