Diaz Removed from SJU Web Site

In typical Saint John’s fashion, Miguel Diaz’s web page on the Saint John’s School of Theology web site was removed earlier today. An error page [ View ] is now in its place.

In 2013, Saint John’s removed almost all traces of a suspected perpetrator’s name from its web site [ View ] , even wiping the student-athlete’s name from the historical rosters.

To request a pdf copy of the deleted page referring to Diaz, please click here.

Until the page was removed, Diaz was listed as a faculty member at the SOT:

Professor of Theology, 2004-
United States Ambassador to the Holy See, August 2009-
M.A., University of Notre Dame, 1992; Ph.D., 2000
B.A., St. Thomas University, 1988;

Saint John’s continues to [ View ] host the “Theology professor Miguel Díaz sworn in as U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See” page, on which one can find a 2009 photo featuring Rob Culligan, SJU vice president of institutional advancement; Bill Cahoy, dean of Saint John’s School of Theology∙Seminary; MaryAnn Baenninger, CSB president; Ambassador Miguel Díaz; Marian Díaz; the Rev. Robert Koopmann, OSB, SJU president; and Sister Sharon Nohner, OSB, subprioress of Saint Benedict’s Monastery, at a reception following swearing in on Aug. 21, 2009 in Washington, D.C.
