ST. PAUL, Minn. (KNSI) – A lawsuit settlement was expected to be announced Monday in the case of nine alleged victims of sexual abuse by clergy with Collegeville’s St. John’s Prep School, St. John’s Abbey and the Order of St. Benedict.
Attorney Jeff Anderson said a Monday news conference would announce a “significant settlement of lawsuits” filed against the Roman Catholic order as well as 11 clergy defendants.
The settlement was expected to include several “non-monetary child protection issues” as well as revealing the names of “previously undisclosed predator priests.”
